Dr. Richard Gold graduated from Oberlin College with a BA Degree in World Religions in 1972. He graduated from New England School of Acupuncture in 1978. Since then he has devoted himself to studying, practicing and teaching in the field of oriental & integrative medicine. He has participated in advanced studies in Shanghai, China in 1980 and studied Seitai Shiatsu in Osaka, Japan in 1986. He holds a Doctorate in Psychology. In 1989, Dr. Gold graduated from the program in Nuad Bo-Rarn at the Old Medicine Hospital, the Foundation of Shivago Komparaj, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Currently, he is a senior instructor at the International Professional School of Bodywork (I.P.S.B) in San Diego. In addition, he is a founding Board member of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with accredited campuses in San Diego, New York City and Chicago. Dr. Gold is the President and Executive Producer of Metta Mindfulness Music. He is the author of. ‘Thai Massage: A Traditional Medical Technique’ first published in 1998 and with a second edition published in 2007.
